How your page shows up in Google search

Last updated June 30, 2026

Quick answer

Every published murls page can appear in Google search with your business name, your opening hours, a tap-to-call button and directions, built automatically from the details already on your page. You do not touch any code. Add your location, your opening hours and a phone or WhatsApp number, keep the page set to show in Google, and Google can show the rich result.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Add your location

Add your location in the page editor so Google knows where you are and can offer customers directions.

  2. 2

    Add an opening hours block

Add your opening hours so Google can show "Open now" and your daily times right in the result.

  3. 3

Add a phone or WhatsApp link

Add a phone number or WhatsApp link so Google can show a tap-to-call button. Write the number in international format, like +92 300 1234567, so it is recognised everywhere.

  4. 4

Keep "Show my page in Google" on

In your page settings this is on by default. Leave it on so search engines can list your page, or switch it off any time to keep the page private.

  5. 5

    Publish, then check it

Publish your page, then paste your link into Google's Rich Results Test to preview how it will look. The result itself appears in search once Google re-crawls your page, which can take a few days.

What your result can look like

Without these details, your page is just a blue link and a line of text in Google. With them, Google can turn it into a rich result that shows:

  • Your business name and link
  • "Open now, closes 9 PM" with your opening hours
  • A tap-to-call button
  • A directions option

Same page, far more useful, and far more likely to earn the tap.

It is built automatically

You never add code or special settings. murls reads the details already on your page, your name, tagline, location, opening hours and contact, and describes them to Google in the format it understands. Fill the page in well and the rich result follows.

It helps AI assistants too

The same details let AI answer engines speak about your business. When someone asks an assistant when you close or how to reach you, it can answer from your page and point people to it.

You stay in control

A free "Show my page in Google" switch lives in your page settings. It is on by default so customers can find you, and you can turn it off any time to keep your page out of search while your link still works for anyone you share it with.

Get the best result

Fill in your location, your opening hours and a phone or WhatsApp number. The more complete your page, the richer the result Google can show.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to set up anything technical?

No. murls builds the search data automatically from the details on your page. There is nothing to install, no code, and no settings to configure.

How do I get the opening hours and call button to show?

Add your location, an opening hours block, and a phone or WhatsApp link on your page. Those are what Google uses to build the rich result.

Can I keep my page out of Google?

Yes. Turn off "Show my page in Google" in your page settings. Your link still works for anyone you share it with, it just will not appear in search.

I added everything but do not see the rich result yet. Why?

Google has to re-crawl your page and decide to show the rich result, which can take a few days. To confirm it is set up correctly right away, paste your page link into Google's Rich Results Test.
