What should you write in your link in bio?

Say what you do and who it is for, in about ten words, without adjectives. Someone who lands on your page should know within a second whether they are in the right place.
The formula
What you do, then where or who for. That is it.
- Fresh bread, baked daily. Old Town.
- Bridal hair and skin, by appointment.
- Accounts and tax returns for small companies.
- Same-day repairs for phones and laptops.
What to leave out
- Words like premium, quality, leading and trusted. Everyone claims them, so they carry no information
- Your slogan, unless people already know it
- Emoji in place of words, which do not appear in search results
Why plain beats clever
This line is often what shows in search results and in link previews. Clever reads well to you and tells a stranger nothing. Plain gets you found and gets you understood.
Say it out loud
If you would not say the sentence to a customer standing in front of you, it is too formal. Write how you talk.
Change it whenever you like
It is one field. Try one version for a month, then try another.
