Is a link in bio good for SEO?

A link in bio page can rank in search, and for a business with no website it is often the first thing that does. But it only works if three things are true: the page is public, it has real text on it, and something links to it.
Buttons alone are not enough
A search engine reads words. A page that is only buttons gives it almost nothing to match a search against. An About section in plain sentences, and a few genuine questions and answers, change that completely.
Write the way people search
People type questions and plain descriptions, not marketing language. "Open until eleven" and "same-day repairs" are searchable. "Excellence in service" is not.
Answer questions directly
When a page asks a question and answers it in the very next sentence, both search engines and AI answer tools can lift it. That format is worth more than keyword density.
Links in, not just links out
Search engines find pages by following links. Put your address in your profiles, in your email signature and anywhere else you exist online, so there is a path to it.
Be patient, and check the right thing
Indexing takes days to weeks. Search for your exact address rather than your business name to see whether you are in yet.
